ECOmar treats and discharges overboard disinfected sewage in compliance with the international regulations.

The ECOmar unit does not need to be run by an operator, the unit may be started in auto-mode. ECOmar is built with a central body in strong polypropilene, mounted on a steel chassis. The electronic control panel manages all the functions of the machine automatically. An optional remore control is available from an onboard PC, and also GSM or SAT link, that allows remote operation, programming, diagnosis and maintenance.

The treatment cycle starts with loading a known quantity of waste water from the collection tank onboard. After loading the the water is macerated for a fixed period of time and joined by a known quantity of disinfectant liquid. Finally some clean sea water is added and the maceration is continued for a further fixed period of time. During these steps, lasting some minutes, the chemical-physical reactions inside disinfect the water and reduce the dimensions of sediments so that the water can be discharged into the sea according to the International Rules. At the end of every cycle an automatic washing of the ECOmar tank and probe is done.
